Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai MMA fighter from Peru, and mixed martial artist who is fighting for in the UFC at the flyweight division,, is a Kyrgyzstani. She is also the elder sister of an earlier UFC Flyweight champ as well as the fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the competition and defeated Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina Shevchenko won an additional medal in the year 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008, and a gold in 2011, and was crowned in the position of IFMA Amateur World Muay Thailand Champion in the year 2016. Antonia was a professional who started her professional career at the age of three, was awarded in 2012 and 2016, the World Lion Fight Lightweight Champion. In 2016, the WMC World Championships also held in 2016 and she won the 2016 IFMA Amateur Thai World Champion. Antonina fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas last at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko started career-long MMA career in 2002, with a win over Anara Baanova, during the KFK Championships of Kyrgystan. She was victorious via TKO during the 2nd round. She went on to win her 2 subsequent fights and both of them at the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. It gave her the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko stopped fighting to pursue the sport of kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko beat Anissa in a unanimously-decided match before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. Following the league's dissolution in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's superior strike skills enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina Shychenko debuted for the UFC at the Heavy Hitters event of TUF finals against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious via unanimous decision but lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina recovered from this loss, defeating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. She was awarded the fight-of-the-night bonus. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner in her next 3-fights she lost to Ariane Lipski, and then losing to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
